This paper deals with the functions of management and their particularities in micro enterprises. The most common legal format of micro businesses are limited liability companies. Management is the ability to guide the affairs of other people to achieve the goals of an organization. Management functions are presented through a theoretical overview. Management functions in business organizations are the following: planning, organizing, managing human resources, guiding and controlling. For the successful operation of a micro business, each function is equally important, indeed vital. The ability of managers to make decisions relevant to the management of micro-businesses depends on a proper alignment of these functions. The empirical research carried out within the scope of this work analyzed the particularities of management functions in micro-enterprises. The results lead to the conclusion that the planning, organization and control functions were only partially implemented. As far as planning is concerned, the analysis showed that managers or owners defined well the objectives and methods of their realization, they knew very well the main area of objectives, and also the good and bad sides in micro enterprises. On the other hand, the survey showed that plans were made either partially or not at all, so the control function could not be fully implemented. The analysis of the organization function showed inadequacies in the organization of material and human resources and an unchanged organization model since the establishment. Human resources management functions and micro-enterprises leadership proved to be fully implemented and corresponding to high standards.
